TAG NSA Seal v1.0

Description

This is a seal for the "National Security Agency" within the "Terran Alliance of Governments Department of Defense". It comes from my primary sci-fi story I am working on. While I said long ago that I would not post anything about it on the internet ((Whereby it could be stolen)) I think I could post some of the affects here.

Within it [The story's universe], there are two primary arms of government. The first being the United Nations Galactic Council. (UN-GC). This serves primarily as the meeting grounds for all solar systems within the Milky Way. Like in real life, there is also a military alliance. TAG. Like NATO it is a military alliance. Unlike NATO, however, it is among all solar systems involved in the UN-GC. Also unlike NATO, it has the authority to keep the peace between the solar systems. It is, in effect, it's own entity.

Within TAG, there is the "Department of the Marines", "Department of the Navy", "Department of the Air Force", and the "National Security Agency". The first three departments serve much like their current counterparts. The Marine Corps provides all infantry and space infantry. The Navy is responsible for the Battle Carriers, Battleships, and Destroyers capable of spaceflight be it stellar or galactic. The Air Force is responsible for the fighters and bombers stationed within these star ships.

The National Security Agency however, is divided into three branches. First being Delta Spec. Ops., this branch works very much like the Navy Seals, they perform assassinations and are the go-to units when diplomacy does not work. The second is the Central Intelligence Agency. Much like its current counterpart, this branch is responsible solely for the gathering of intelligence. The third and final branch is the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Much like its current counterpart, this branch is the police arm of TAG. It functions on a local stellar and even galactic level, investigating fraud, treason, and other crimes.

The Milky Way galaxy is featured prominently as it is the only fully human galaxy. The circuit board represents the connectivity of the NSA, while the lightning bolts represent the force and authority of the agency.

Enjoy

JUST AS WITH EVERYTHING OF MINE, IF YOU WISH TO USE THIS FOR ANYTHING AT ALL, SIMPLY ASK AND I WILL DECIDE IF IT IS ALRIGHT.

--[ Edit ]--

I forgot to mention NASA. It comprises the fifth arm of the Department of TAG Defense. It is responsible for extra-galactic exploration as well as research and development for new star-craft designs and drive cores.

As some one politely brought to my attention; this is NOT the full thought out concept. All this is, is a sketch, an outline if you will, of what I was thinking along with this image. I should have made this a little more clear in the main text of the piece, but I thought I had indeed made myself clear in the main body text. Apparently, I have not. Consider yourselves clarified...

I'm really dense with this type of stuff lol. Is this based on an actual agency or is it exclusively for your book?

I really like it. It looks VERY official and believable.

As someone who is very familiar with the art of logo design, I have to say that this is a very successful one. There is quite a bit of information and symbolism in this logo, but you've done it in a way where it isn't too busy or overwhelming. All of your representations (i.e. "The circuit board represents the connectivity of the NSA" ) are very legit, and as with all good logos, you've obviously done your research (even though this may be from something of your own creation, you've obviously put research into the development of the story and the agency)

Your typography also looks very good. The letter-spacing is very well done--especially considering that the words are on a curve, and the typeface you've selected works very well.

I hope this comment wasn't too long winded, and I hope it helps or gives insight into an outsider's perspective of the logo ^_^
